Karen is a lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley. As graduate of MVCC, she began her career as a registered nurse in ICU at Rome Memorial Hospital. Karen enjoyed seven years of critical care nursing before an opportunity to diversify her career presented itself and she joined the staff at Planned Parenthood. While working at Planned Parenthood she realized her passion for women's health care and decided to expand her role. She attended the nurse practitioner program at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Upon graduation, she took on the role of Clinic Director of Planned Parenthood's Rome Clinic. Her interest in obstetrics led her to positions at the Prenatal Clinics at Rome Hospital and St.Luke's Hospital before entering private practice. For the past 28 years Karen has had the pleasure of providing the highest quality care to women across the region. Each day is another day to both care for her patients with all the newest advances in women's health care, and an opportunity for her to expand her own knowledge in a field that will never stop changing. Karen’s attention to detail and outgoing personality have endeared her to her patients. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State. She spends most of her free time with her ever-expanding family of four children and three grandchildren.
